I would rate Shri Hemant V Jadhav: 5 STARS as far as his knowledge on the subject of air-pistol shooting is concerned, an opinion shared by many other senior shooters as well. b. COACHING
His manner of coaching, though ‘Old School’ (something which I thoroughly and absolutely appreciate!) is as impeccable as his knowledge of the technique. Since I am only a humble novice in the field of shooting, it would be highly inappropriate for me to say anything more about his Coaching Style.
3. How do you rate the content of the Videos on the website www.foresight shooting.com?
Never before has anyone considered distributing so freely & so easily, the in-depth & complete ‘secrets’ of Pistol-Shooting. In fact, judging by what I have seen in the past two years, there definitely will not be more than a handful of ‘coaches’ in the entire country who have taught their ‘advanced’ students even half of what is shown in the Basic Videos here, however harsh the reality may sound.
To give an example that I have personally witnessed, a certain person from Pune who calls himself an ‘International Coach’, had NEVER told his students about the Sight Alignment picture, nor were they aware (even after participating in 2-3 Nationals) that a Shooter is allowed to stand in any other position than the “In-line” stance.
4. What Changes did you incorporate in your present training methods after consuming/getting to know all the points you have mentioned in Point No. 3.
It would be The Truth, The Whole Truth, & nothing but The Truth to say that whatever I have learnt about pistol shooting IS from the contents of this website. Since I was never told about NONE of the concepts & techniques mentioned here (by the person ‘managing’ the range where I started shooting), my saying so would not be an exaggeration.
5. In the absence of a coach, how has foresightshooting filled this absence?
The absence of a qualified coach is a very common phenomenon in India – both rural & urban. Most of the shooting ranges are run & ‘managed’ by shooters who have no future/career in shooting to speak of or extremely mediocre shooters for whom a shooting range is a ‘mint’. The former are a disgruntled lot who out of sheer jealousy & spite, do more to hamper & discourage new shooters, while the latter are in it only to make as much money as they can from the shooters by selling weapons, pellets, accessories, & more weapons – at huge commissions. They are sweet & accommodating as long as the shooters are buying things from them, & either ignore or worse – trouble the shooter when he/she buys shooting equipment elsewhere. The third category is the ‘brand name’ where the fees demanded almost require the shooter to sell a kidney. In such a greedy state of affairs, this website is a straight-forward, honest, open attempt to impart the one thing that everyone is actually here for – the ‘knowledge’.
6. Foresight shooting is the World’s First Online Air Pistol Coaching website; how do you feel being the member of such a website.
I feel honoured and privileged to be a member. The concept is a unique one, NOT at all easy to bring into reality, and glad that it has happened.
7. When you have posted questions for clearing doubts regarding shooting, were the answers to your satisfaction?
Yes, they were.
8. Did you ever imagine that you could be coached online successfully?
Personally, I would say yes, because I am somewhat old-fashioned in my beliefs, and since there are abundant examples in Indian mythology where the ‘gurus’ have unfathomable ways & means of imparting knowledge to their disciples. The videos, computer, & the internet are the modern of such media used by such modern day ‘wise-men’.
9. Do you honestly feel by becoming a member you are confident of improving your scores and reaching your goals? Please rate this out of 5 stars and elaborate through a few sentences.
Since I already HAVE improved my shooting through the content inculcated in these videos, and since my only goal was to improve as a shooter, I would say that the goal is already being achieved – on a daily basis.
11. What will you recommend to others on ‘Why they should join as members on this website’?
* Regarding improving their scores.
* Regarding quality of coaching.
* Regarding personal attention/one on one coaching via email, forum and telephonic conversations.
Regarding improving their score – since there is a serious dearth of those imparting the actual technique especially in a simplified way, yes, being a member of this website would certainly help those who want to help themselves.
Regarding the quality of coaching – since I have already mentioned above the dismal state of affairs of the current ‘coaching’ scenario, it would require a really unfortunate or an undeserving shooter to not understand & appreciate the value & the quality of the content offered here.
